Soon after I joined Artfinder early this year, I have a few overseas orders. Although the transit time of international shipping is slow, it is also interesting to track my painting go around world. And then I start to notice some sort of pattern of the shipping route of USPS.
To United Kingdom
Everything from my place goes to Chicago first so I set the starting point on this map as Chicago. Then it goes to JFK in New York City, then Heathrow, London. This one is easy to understand and straightforward.
To Saudi Arabia
Again, Chicago first, then New York City, then a stop at Cairo, Egypt. After that it goes to Saudi Arabia. This one is also straightforward.
This one is the most interesting route so far. I thought it would go to JFK and then directly to Finland capital. But NO. From Chicago it goes to Fort, Dallas in TX. The next stop is Haneda in Tokyo, Japan. From Japan it goes to Helsinki.
I thought London is closer to Helsinki than Tokyo. LOL. Well, in the future if I have more overseas orders it would be more data input of international shipping route.
Have a great long weekend~ ^_^
