Description

These two “Moth” and “Monarch” are experiments with pattern mandala. All digital drawing software has a function called Symmetry axis which allows you to draw a mandala efficiently. I designed these two patterns in software first then painted them on canvas. To me, nothing replaces the feeling of actual oil paint. 😀 As you can see from the name, these are inspired by monarch butterfly and Cecropia Moth.

I painted all edges of the canvas black and installed hardware so it is ready to hang. The painting is protected by a piece of semi transparent glassine paper. I tape it with blue painters’ tape. That is what you see in the photo.

Although I have tried my best to match the color of digital profile and the actual product, the color might still vary depending on different monitor settings. Please be aware of this fact.
