Initial thoughts
Love is in the air.
Well, I believe these two cats’ pose explain everything. I don’t need a story to backup their relationship. 🤣 It took me sometime to choose the environment. First I tried the common wedding background such as white roses, ribbon decorations and so on, but I didn’t like it. Once again I dug through my reference photo folders and picked the one I never expected, the poppy flower field under sunset. Ang it fit this cats couple wedding scene better.
Digital sketch
The digital sketch for “cats wedding” was relatively quick. I got the mood of the painting. However when it came to the actual canvas I had several issues. Because I had to sit down and paint the bridal veil inch by inch. No random stroke there, all folds had to make sense somehow.
Summary
I love poppy flower field. This painting gave me confidence to try more flower field scene. As to the lace fabric, maybe not. 🤣
