Initial thought
I wondered what it would be like if a lighthouse were made of glass. Then I realized that a building made of glass is called a “greenhouse”😂. Inspired by this idea, I created a greenhouse lighthouse oil painting. So here it is—the greenhouse lighthouse. It stands on the edge of the rocks, with waves crashing against its base. Inside the lighthouse, various plants thrive, adding a touch of green to the structure. As night falls, the entire lighthouse glows in the darkness, creating a mesmerizing sight for all who gaze upon it.
Digital concept
The main concept is fairly straightforward. A lighthouse operates at night. Later, I realized that a greenhouse requires more glass panels. I also removed the colorful flowers. Having only green plants in an image can create a sense of calm and tranquility. The color green is often associated with nature, growth, and renewal, which can evoke feelings of peace and serenity. By surrounding oneself with greenery, it can help reduce stress and promote a sense of relaxation. The simplicity and purity of having just green plants can also provide a sense of harmony and balance, making the overall image feel soothing and refreshing.
Summary
During the actual greenhouse lighthouse painting, I somehow “forgot” how to paint the waves. I checked my older paintings and used the brush to dab the paint randomly. Well, I guess that happens from time to time—I don’t even recall how I created my earlier work. 🤣
