Initial thoughts
I always like the concept of shipwreck. The deep water camera footage of the lost ships is thrilling yet fascinating. However, just like the <Whale oasis>, if a shipwreck appears on the seabed, that would be normal. I am looking for the place that the ship cannot go. Then mountain top could be one of the answers.
While a regular in service ship may not be able to go to the mountain top, an old shipwreck definitely could due to orogenic movements. Actually, the Himalaya area was once the bottom of ocean long time ago. Nowadys the fossilized red coral is one of the most expensive gemstones in Tibet region.
Therefore, I decide to put my shipwreck on top of the snowy mountain just like Mount Everest.
Digital sketch
It is a cloudy and gloomy day. Yet only one beam of sunlight lights up the bow of the shipwreck. The team of explorer are added in the end because I want some size reference.

The story
During the painting process I have a little conversation between the explorers. Let’s assume the first one is the team leader, then everyone following him/her is numbered as member 1, member 2, etc.
Team leader: Finally we are here, let’s camp first. Tomorrow we will start our research.
Member 1: God! I am so tired!
Member 2: How the shipwreck ended up here?
Member 3: I don’t know.
Member 4: Don’t know either.
Member 5: That’s why we are here!
Member 6: Must be the great flood, right?
Member 7: Guys….I am hungry…..When can we have dinner?
Member 8: Stop being a kid, keep moving!
Summary
As the story above says, the great flood could also be an answer for the shipwreck location. I like all possible and reasonable explainations. 😀
