Initial thoughts
Perhaps it was because of all the wilderness construction videos I had watched that I wanted to build my own little underground shelter, at least in a painting.
The entrance is hidden beneath a giant tree, concealed within a maze of roots. A narrow pathway leads to a drainage system that connects to an underground water network. From there, you enter the storage room on the base floor. At the far end, a ladder allows you to climb to the upper floor, where you will find a cozy living room furnished with a fireplace, a chair, and some books to read. The room also features a ventilation system. A chimney extends outside, once again passing through the tree roots. Behind a small door in the living room is another room where you can sleep.
Because I was born in the Year of the Rat in the Chinese zodiac, I chose to place a mouse wearing pajamas in the shelter—safe, warm, relaxed, and out of sight.
Digital concept
I enjoyed the process of digital sketching. It felt like designing a model home—adding a little detail here, a little detail there: deciding where the chimney should go, where the rainwater will flow, and so on.
I asked the AI to maintain the painting style, but it still wanted to create its own animation approach. Well, it’s not so bad.
Summary
I have noticed that I am drifting toward the weird building and space direction… I can’t help it… More are coming…😂
